STONE MOUNTAIN DUMPSTER RENTAL SERVICES
WHY RENT A DUMPSTER IN STONE MOUNTAIN
Stone Mountain’s trash is collected by DeKalb County Sanitation, and the county’s bulky-item service is a request, not a schedule: set the furniture or appliance at the curb first, clear of mailboxes, sidewalks and utilities, then submit a request and wait up to ten business days. Anything that is really project debris falls under the county’s special collection, which has to be paid for before a truck is sent.
Our dumpsters are commonly used for:
- Historic home renovations in the village
- Whole-house cleanouts and estate clear-outs
- Kitchen and bath remodels
- Roofing tear-offs
- Fence and deck replacement projects
- Tree work and storm cleanup
- Small commercial renovations
DUMPSTER SIZES FOR STONE MOUNTAIN PROJECTS
A village cottage refresh and a full gut renovation need very different containers, and the right size first time saves a second haul.
- 20-yard – 8 x 20 x 5 ft, holds up to 2 tons
- 30-yard – 8 x 20 x 6 ft, holds up to 3 tons
- 40-yard – 8 x 20 x 8 ft, holds up to 4 tons
Every rental runs 14 days on-site. Most Stone Mountain cleanouts, from Shermantown to the historic Village, fit the 20-yard; remodels, roofing and larger tree jobs usually need the 30 or 40.

WHAT YOU CAN AND CAN’T THROW AWAY
Most of what a Stone Mountain cleanout, remodel or yard job produces is accepted. A short list of materials has to be handled separately.
Commonly accepted materials include:
- Furniture and household junk
- Appliances and bulky disposal items
- Yard waste and landscaping debris
- Construction and renovation debris
- Roofing shingles and renovation debris
- Office, retail, and warehouse cleanup waste
Materials we cannot accept:
- Paints, solvents, and liquid waste
- Oil, gasoline, and other flammable liquids
- Asbestos, chemicals and other regulated materials
- Lithium batteries and fluorescent bulbs
- Ashes and tires
- Explosives and radioactive materials
DeKalb County routes construction and renovation debris, wood fencing and decking, large volumes of trash or yard trimmings, and tree parts over three inches thick through prepaid special collection, and it will not take tires, liquids, chemicals or concrete at all. A roll-off on your driveway takes the project debris as the work happens, with no request queue. Mattresses are accepted with an added disposal charge. Whole electronics cannot be loaded into a roll-off. If you are unsure about an item, check with us before delivery.

Not sure which size fits your project? Our team is ready to help you choose the right fit.
Stone Mountain’s residential trash pickup runs through DeKalb County Sanitation on a weekly 95-gallon cart, which is sized for everyday household garbage, not a full cleanout or renovation haul. A WG Waste roll-off dumpster gives you the extra capacity to load on your own schedule. Delivery timing still depends on the day’s schedule and the size you need. Tell us the date you want when you call and we will confirm the soonest slot we can actually hold for you.
No, WG Waste cannot accept hazardous waste of any kind. That includes chemicals, paint and solvents, oil and gasoline, asbestos, explosives, radioactive material, and certain batteries and electronics. Those items need to go to a licensed hazardous waste or electronics recycling facility. Stone Mountain residents can contact DeKalb County Sanitation for the nearest drop-off option. If you are unsure about something on your list, ask us before delivery.
Front load bins work well for larger residential communities in Stone Mountain, including apartment complexes and condominiums near the historic Village and along Memorial Drive. Reach out to our team for more information.
Stone Mountain’s weekly curbside service through DeKalb County Sanitation is built for routine household garbage, not a full cleanout or construction load. Our competitive pricing, eco-friendly practices, prompt delivery and pickup, and strict adherence to local waste regulations make WG Waste the choice for larger dumpster rental jobs in Stone Mountain.
